Jonathan, the son of our supporter Jörn Schulte, independently organized a bake sale to benefit our project.

We were able to use the donation of €200 directly for the project. Thank you very much!

Perhaps there are other socially committed young people at other schools who would like to support our project. Or adults who would like to incorporate this idea into their lessons...

Jonathan Schulte at the bake sale

Here is the message from Jörn Schulte, Jonathan's father:

Good morning, everyone! Then this is perfect timing...

Our son Jonathan (11 years old) was so impressed by the farm festival (in Forchtenberg) in aid of the association and the pictures from Africa/Mwanza that he spontaneously went to the school principal and his class teacher to ask for permission to start a cake sale with his class for the Galanari River School project.

The school was very cooperative, and Jonathan got the ball rolling and managed to sell almost all of the cake during a school break, raising a total of €100.

The project flyers were also on display and were received with interest!

Jonathan will now check with the school to see if we can give a presentation there with lots of visual material. Maybe something more will come of it.

The proceeds are great, I'll round the amount up to 200 and send it to you.

Thanks to Jonathan, the school for their spontaneous cooperation, and also thanks to Birgit and Tamara for their quick help with banners and flyers! Here are a few pictures... Best regards, Jörn
