The Galana River School Project e.V. is recognized by the tax authorities as a nonprofit organization and operates entirely on a volunteer basis—there are no staff members and no personnel costs. Approximately 96% of the funds go directly to the project on the ground: toward school construction, teaching materials, teachers’ huts, as well as emergency aid and humanitarian efforts in the village community.

What will my donation be used for?

Your donation goes directly toward our initiatives in Mwanza: school construction and expansion, housing for teachers, educational materials, agriculture and irrigation, and emergency medical aid. You can find an overview of our ongoing projects on the Projects page.

Will I receive a donation receipt?

Yes. Our organization is recognized by the tax office as a tax-exempt entity (tax exemption notice dated December 2023). If you need a donation receipt, please enter your address on the donation form or contact us through our contact page.

Can I also make regular donations?

Yes. On the form, you can choose between a one-time donation and a recurring donation. You can cancel your recurring donation at any time—just send us a quick message.

How transparent is the club in its handling of funds?
